This Week’s Wee Billy Is Now Up

Another podcast of Wee Billy is now up for your enjoyment.

A big thanks to
Fiona Musgrove
for hosting another fabulous show on Blind Sports Radio focused on UK vi and blind sport.

We welcome
Aaron Fowler
to the Blind Sports Radio family and thank him for updating our listeners on the goings on over in the UK and keeping our listeners updated on the latest scores involving various UK vi and blind sports.

Our guest on this week’s show was fitness fanatic
Jaina Mistry,
who came on to discuss her fabulous journey.

Jaina states in her bio:

“In 3 short years I went from being an exercise virgin to becoming englands first blind female fitness instructor and the uks first blind national fitness award winner! the journey of having to face and overcome many health and fitness challenges has inspired me to create Jaina’s Journey; a fitness initiative aimed at improving the accessibility of fitness to the vi community worldwide!

The ultimate aim is to make positive changes in the industry by bridging the gap between the VI client seeking support and the fitness professional ready to help. Its about promoting the importance of inclusive fitness by educating, training and raising awareness to fitness professionals across the board to make an impact.

I’m excited to say that the ball is already rolling in the right direction. In early 2015 I’ll be leading an inclusive sports project with a local sight loss charity aimed at encouraging more visually impaired people in the community to participate in sport and fitness.

Please check out Jaina’s incredible journey on
Jainas Journey Facebook page,
or you can check out
Jaina’s Audioboo journey
and
Jaina’s Youtube channel.

We also invite our listeners to take Jaina’s
fitness for the visually impaired Survey.

The Latest Balls And All Is Now Out

This weeks Balls And All is now out, and a huge thank you to all of our wonderful guests that came on to our latest podcast.

First up,
Hannah Pascoe
came on to this week’s podcast and discussed her marathon running experiences, and it was awesome to hear someone come on air and be so passionate about long distance running.

Our second guest was
Aaron Fowler,
who is twenty-two and resides in Hampshire. Aaron is one of our latest Twitter followers, and it was great to hear from someone who is a keen player of blind cricket over in England, as well as being extremely passionate about captaining his vi football side.

All of the staff on Blind Sports Radio would like to officially welcome Aaron to the BSR team and we hope that all of our listeners will enjoy having Aaron taking part on various shows on the network.

Gary Sargent
was our third guest on Balls And All, and it certainly was interesting hearing about the funding plight that
Blind Sports Australia
faces each year, as well as the great work that this organization manages to accomplish on such tight purse strings.

Our fourth and final guests were
Ben Felten
and
Mike Newman.

On Wednesday, the 13th of August, Mike once again broke the world blind land speed record driving a Nissan GT-R at an incredible 200mph.

It was an amazing forty-five minutes that we spent with these two gentlemen, and we truly appreciate both Ben and Mike giving up their valuable time to come and chat with the Balls And All crew.
